Douglas L Blowey, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatric and Pharmacology; Director of Hypertension Clinic; the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. He serves as the Medical Director Children’s Mercy Kansas and is also the Chief Clinical Integration Officer and Medical Director for Integrated Care Solutions.
Dr. Blowey received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed a Pediatric residency and pediatric nephrology fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospital. After completing a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology fellowship at Sick Children’s in Toronto, Canada he returned to the staff at Children’s Mercy Hospital where he focused on pediatric hypertension and pediatric clinical pharmacology. Dr. Blowey was an author on the 2017 American Academy of Pediatrics “Clinical Practice Guideline for Screening and Management of High Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents”.
