Armand Morel, MD – faculty bio (current as of March 2023)

Armand Morel, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.  He earned his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin and completed medical school at The McGovern Medical School at University of Texas Health- Houston.  He completed anesthesiology residency at The University of Cincinnati Medical Center and fellowships in Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pediatric Pain Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Morel currently splits his time between the operating room, Complex Pain Clinic, and Medical Pain Service, and serves as the Medical Director for IT services for the Children's Mercy Department of Anesthesiology.  He additionally organizes and moderates the monthly Resident Journal Club.  His interests include acute and chronic pediatric pain management, resident education, and systems improvement work.
