Dr. Luisa F. Madroñero Waitman is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. Since 2013, she has served on the staff of Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include outpatient and inpatient cardiology consultation, community clinical outreach, echocardiography and cardiovascular genetics. Given her Colombian heritage, she is fluent in Spanish, and she holds a special clinical interest in International Medicine. She has participated in medical missions as a pediatric cardiologist and clinical educator in Honduras, Ghana, and Morocco. She serves as the Community Cardiology Liaison and as a Lead Strategist in Clinical Outreach for The Ward Family Heart Center. She is the Director of the Spanish Pediatric Cardiology Clinic and the Director of the Pediatric Cardiovascular Genetics Clinic at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She is a committed clinical educator given her efforts in educational curriculum development for medical students, pediatric residents and pediatric cardiology fellows in-training. | |
