• A Day in the Life of a Study Section/Mock Study Section
• Post Review Experience and Revisions
• Feedback (Mentors provide feedback)

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (11.75 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (11.75 hours)

1. Provide you food for thought as you think about your career
2. Outline process of crafting a career in which research is one of your assets
3. Give you a sense of the process of grant writing, as well as resources at CM (now and in the future!)
4. Give you the sense of choice; we believe that if you chose to commit to a research career, if you persist when times are tough, and if you adapt with the times and environment – that you will find joy being an investigator, and you will make a difference
5. Review types of grants that are ‘out there’, as well as pros and cons of each
6. Provide a sense of opportunity around ‘K’ grants
