PALS Update 9/24/2024

Participants must have current PALS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association to take this course.

The PALS course includes various types of learning formats which include videos, skill stations, interactive sessions and self-study.  The skill stations and interactive scenario teaching stations utilize small group, personalized learning settings.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (5.50 hours), ABA MOCA Part 2 (0.00 hours), ABP MOC Part 2 (5.50 hours), ABPath MOC Part II (5.50 hours), ABS CC (5.50 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (5.50 hours)

1. Recognize early signs pediatric and infant distress.
2. Intervene to prevent respiratory and cardiopulmonary arrest.
3. Perform cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize critically ill infants and children.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 5.5 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics' (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
