At the conclusion of this activity, learners will:

  2. Integrate multidisciplinary strategies to improve patient outcomes.
  3. Implement innovative and high-value care approaches, including use of new technologies, cost-conscious decision-making, and clear communication of complex clinical information.

Children's Mercy Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

ACCME

Successful completion of this CME activity enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirement of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery's Continuing Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABTS credit.

Nursing Provider Approval Statement:
Participants who meet the successful completion requirements will receive up to 8.25 nursing contact hours. Attendance at a minimum of two presentations is required for nursing contact hours and participants may only submit for credit of presentations they attended.

Children's Mercy Kansas City is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by VTL Center for Professional Development, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Cancellations received in writing Monday, September 9, 2025 will be refunded, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
