Interpreting for Mental Health (Live Class)

This four hour live class will discuss the basics of mental health interpreting and will include some live interpretation practice.

This course will be presented by Paul Spacek, MS, CCHI, Carlos Santacruz CCHI and Megan Drovetta  LSCSW, LCSW.

CEAP Instructional Hours (3.00 hours), CEAP Performance Based (1.00 hours)

1. Identify challenges of interpreting in the mental health encounters.
2. Identify common mental health diagnoses and appropriate terminology.
3. Discuss the role of culture in mental health encounters.
4. Demonstrate interpreting techniques using mock scenarios related to mental health sessions.
