Overview

We are honored to bring the 9th Annual Children’s Mercy Trauma Conference to Kansas City.  The conference will focus on the many challenges facing healthcare professionals involved in the care of traumatically injured children.  It will provide up-to-date clinical information for the management of injured children and their families.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify types of traumatic injuries that occur in pediatric patients.
  2. Through polling and small group interaction, demonstrate knowledge of pediatric trauma interventions.

Children’s Mercy Kansas City is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by VTL Center for Professional Development, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Trauma

This activity has been approved by the Children’s Mercy Trauma Department for 7.0 hours of Trauma credit.

EMTs

Emergency Medical Technicians in Missouri:  Issued by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.  Certification:  BLS/ALS.  Level of training:  BLS/ALS.  This program is approved by the Missouri Bureau of Emergency Medical Services for 7 hours of CE. 09521CA

Radiology

This activity has been approved by ASRT for 2.75 Category “A” CE credits for Children's Mercy employees

Respiratory Therapy

The Children's Mercy Hospital, CEU Evaluator has approved this program for 8.4 Live Respiratory Care CEUs, on behalf of the Kansas Respiratory Care Society, a chapter society of the AARC. Providership #KRCS 003

Social Work

0.75 Social Work CEUs will be provided to licensed social workers. Children's Mercy Hospital's Department of Social Work has been approved as a Continuing Education Provider by the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
