Overview

Participants have the opportunity to have their own pharmacogenetic testing done to use during this activity. Testing requires going to a CMH lab to have a cheek swab collected for DNA isolation and testing. To complete this, follow the steps below:

  • Complete this form by October 19 (this is to create the lab order)

  • Enrollees can have their cheek swabs collected at any outpatient CMH lab in the Kansas City area (Adele Hall, Broadway, Northland, East, and Kansas locations) during lab hours between 10/27/2025 - 11/16/2025.

    • Note: Samples received after 11/16/2025 will not be processed or resulted.

  • To obtain a sufficient sample, please do not do any of the following within 30 min of the cheek swab:

    • Eat

    • Drink, including water

    • Chew gum

    • Smoke

    • Brush your teeth

  • There is no charge for the testing

Your results will be securely emailed to your CMH email address prior to the course. Please do NOT search for your own test results in the EMR, as this goes against CMH Privacy Compliance policy.

Testing is not required. Those who do not want personal testing will be given a sample results report for learning purposes during the course.

Light refreshments will be offered in the morning.
